Ms. Campana, 29, is pursuing a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences in the section of pharmacology and therapeutics discovery at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Icahn University of Medication at Mount Sinai. She graduated cum laude from the College of Bologna, from which she also gained a master’s diploma cum laude in biomedical engineering.
She is the daughter of Giuliana Mami and Giorgio Campana of Poggio Torriana, Italy. The bride’s father retired as an artisan at Gruppo Ripa Bianca, a maker of terra-cotta products in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy.
